Ingredients
  

Guacamole Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 small jalapeño pepper seeded and minced (optional)
  • 1 small Roma tomato seeded and diced

Instructions
 

  • Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl. Use a fork or potato masher to mash the avocado to your desired consistency, whether slightly chunky or smooth.
  • Add the finely chopped red onion, chopped cilantro, lime juice, kosher salt, and ground cumin to the bowl with the mashed avocado. If using, add the minced jalapeño.
  • Gently stir all the ingredients together until they are just combined. Be careful not to overmix if you prefer a chunkier texture.
  • Gently fold in the diced tomato until it is evenly distributed throughout the guacamole.
  • Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning, adding more salt or lime juice if desired. Serve immediately.
