Equipment

  • food processor
  • mixing bowl
  • spatula
  • measuring spoons
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • microwave-safe bowl
  • fork or dipping tool
  • toothpick

Ingredients

  • 16 ounce Oreo cookies 1 package
  • 8 ounce cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 12 ounce white chocolate baking chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 32 candy eyes

Instructions

  • Place the entire package of Oreo cookies in a food processor and process until they form fine, even crumbs. You should have about 3 1/2 cups of crumbs.
  • Transfer the Oreo crumbs to a large mixing bowl. Add the softened cream cheese and mix thoroughly with a spatula or your hands until a uniform, thick, and pliable dough forms with no streaks of cream cheese visible.
  • Using a small cookie scoop or a tablespoon, portion the mixture and roll it into 1-inch balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Chill the balls in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until they are firm to the touch.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  • Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Gently tap off any excess chocolate and return it to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • While the chocolate is still wet, gently press two candy eyes onto the top third of each ball to create the mummy's face.
  • Use a toothpick or a small spoon to drizzle thin lines of the remaining melted chocolate across the ball in a criss-cross pattern over the eyes to create the mummy's bandages. Let the chocolate set completely at room temperature, about 1 hour.

Notes

Chill the balls thoroughly before dipping to make them easier to handle. Let the chocolate set completely at room temperature for best results.
