Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, combine the honey, water, and granulated sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely, about 3 minutes.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 5 minutes without stirring, until the syrup thickens slightly.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the softened butter, vanilla extract, and salt until fully incorporated and smooth.
  • Let the mixture cool for 10 minutes to thicken further, stirring occasionally to prevent a skin from forming.
  • Drizzle the warm honey trick over pancakes, waffles, or ice cream, or transfer to a jar and store at room temperature for up to 1 week.
