Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and generously grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
  • Whisk together 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a medium bowl until well combined.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1/2 cup softened butter and 1 cup granulated sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture becomes light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Beat in 2 eggs one at a time, followed by 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, until fully incorporated into the butter mixture.
  • Alternately add the dry ingredients and 1 cup buttermilk to the wet ingredients, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients, mixing on low speed just until the batter comes together without overmixing.
  • Gently fold 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries into the batter using a spatula until they are evenly distributed throughout.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean with just a few moist crumbs attached.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely, which helps prevent it from becoming soggy.
