Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounce cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ounce taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup Mexican cheese blend shredded
  • 1/2 cup salsa mild or medium, well-drained
  • 1/4 cup green onions green parts only, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Place the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning mix in a medium mixing bowl. Ensure cream cheese is properly softened for easier mixing.
  • Using a rubber spatula or electric hand mixer on low speed, combine all ingredients until thoroughly mixed and smooth. Scrape down the sides of the bowl periodically.
  • Gently fold in the shredded Mexican cheese blend, well-drained salsa, and chopped green onions. Incorporate without overmixing.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl or decorative dish. Smooth the top with the back of a spoon if desired.
  • Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours, to allow flavors to meld.
  • Serve the dip chilled with tortilla chips, bell pepper strips, cucumber slices, or pretzel crisps. Let sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before serving if chilled for an extended period.
