Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 4 chai tea bags
  • 1 can full-fat coconut milk 13.5 fluid ounce can
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground cardamom

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan over high heat, bring the 2 cups of water to a rolling boil.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and immediately add the 4 chai tea bags. Cover the pot and let the tea steep for 10 minutes to develop a strong, flavorful base.
  • After steeping, remove and discard the tea bags. Return the saucepan to the stove over medium heat.
  • Whisk in the entire can of full-fat coconut milk, 1/4 cup of honey, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and a pinch of ground cardamom. Continue to cook, whisking frequently, until the mixture is steaming hot and fully combined, about 3 to 5 minutes. Do not let it come to a boil.
  • Taste the chai and adjust sweetness with more honey if desired. Pour the hot, creamy coconut chai into mugs and serve immediately.
