Ingredients

For the Rich Chocolate Dip

  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

For the Sweet Cream Cheese Dip

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, full-fat, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

For the Cookie Board

  • 36-48 assorted store-bought cookies e.g., shortbread, chocolate chip, sandwich, wafer cookies
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup hazelnut spread like Nutella
  • 1/4 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup pretzel twists

Instructions

  • In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave on high for 60 seconds, then let stand undisturbed for 5 minutes. Stir gently with a whisk until the mixture is completely smooth and shiny, with no visible chocolate lumps. Stir in the vanilla extract. Set aside to cool slightly to a thick, dippable consistency.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened full-fat cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until it is smooth and creamy, about 1 to 2 minutes. Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, beating until it is fully incorporated and the mixture is light and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla extract until just combined.
  • Arrange all of your chosen cookies, the creamy peanut butter, hazelnut spread, mini chocolate chips, rainbow sprinkles, chopped nuts, fresh strawberries, and pretzel twists on your countertop within easy reach of your designated serving area.
  • Select a large serving platter, cutting board, or slate. Place small serving bowls strategically around the board to hold the prepared chocolate dip, cream cheese dip, peanut butter, and hazelnut spread. Ensure there is ample space around each bowl for the cookies and other accompaniments.
  • Begin artfully arranging the assorted cookies around the bowls. Vary the types of cookies as you place them to create visual interest and textural variety. Aim for clusters or lines of cookies, ensuring some are close enough to the dips for easy access.
  • Fill in any remaining gaps on the board with the mini chocolate chips, rainbow sprinkles, chopped pecans or walnuts, fresh strawberries, and pretzel twists. Scatter them creatively to add pops of color, interesting textures, and additional snacking options.
  • Present your cookie charcuterie board immediately. Provide small serving spoons for the dips and spreads. Encourage guests to mix and match their favorite cookies with the various accompaniments.
