Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk at room temperature
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  • Alternately add the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the flour, and mixing on low speed until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with your spatula.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown.

Notes

Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for best results. Do not overmix the batter.
