Equipment

  • cutting board
  • knife
  • measuring cups
  • large round serving platter
  • small plates or bowls
  • small shallow bowl

Ingredients

Meats

  • 6 ounces assorted hard salami thinly sliced
  • 4 ounces prosciutto thinly sliced

Cheeses

  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 4 ounces Monterey Jack cheese cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 4 ounces brie cheese small wheel or wedges

Crackers & Nuts

  • 1 box assorted crackers 6 ounces, various shapes and textures
  • 1/2 cup roasted almonds unsalted

Fruits & Vegetables

  • 1 pound red seedless grapes washed
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries washed
  • 1 medium green apple cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata olives pitted
  • 1/2 cup green olives pitted
  • 1/2 cup small cherry tomatoes washed

Garnishes & Spread

  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 2 sprigs fresh mint
  • 1/4 cup fig jam or fruit spread for serving

Instructions

  • Prepare your ingredients. Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes, raspberries, and cherry tomatoes. Core and thinly slice the green apple, then cut the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses into uniform 1/2-inch cubes. Arrange all prepared ingredients, meats, and cheeses on separate small plates or bowls for easy access during assembly.
  • Select a large, round serving platter, at least 14 inches in diameter, to serve as your base. If using a dip, place a small, shallow bowl in the center of the platter. Begin by forming the outer ring of your wreath: fan out the thinly sliced salami and prosciutto, overlapping slightly, to create a substantial circular base around the edge of the platter, leaving space in the very center if you have a dip bowl.
  • Strategically place the larger cheese elements. Arrange the brie wheel or wedges evenly spaced along the inner edge of your meat ring, creating visual anchor points. Then, artfully scatter the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese cubes, distributing them within and around the meat and brie for balance.
  • Fill in the remaining spaces with fresh fruits and olives. Create small, inviting clusters of red grapes, fresh raspberries, and colorful cherry tomatoes, tucking them into the gaps between the meats and cheeses. Distribute the thinly sliced green apple, Kalamata olives, and green olives around the wreath, ensuring a vibrant mix of colors and textures.
  • Add the crackers and nuts to complete the edible landscape. Arrange the assorted crackers in small groups throughout the wreath, either standing some upright or laying others flat, ensuring they are easily accessible for guests. Sprinkle the roasted almonds throughout the wreath to add a delightful crunch and visual appeal.
  • Garnish your charcuterie wreath to enhance its festive appearance. Tuck the fresh rosemary sprigs into various points around the board, allowing them to resemble the natural greenery of a wreath. If using, place a small sprig of fresh mint near the fruit for an extra pop of bright green.
  • If using, fill the central bowl with fig jam or your preferred fruit spread. Serve your charcuterie board wreath immediately at room temperature for optimal flavor, or chill lightly for up to 30 minutes before serving if desired.
