Equipment

  • large skillet
  • wooden spoon
  • small bowl
  • measuring spoons
  • measuring cups
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • serving bowls

Ingredients

Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 blend recommended
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped white onion
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Topping Mixture

  • 1/2 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced dill pickles
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced tomato
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped white onion for garnish
  • 1/4 cup Big Mac sauce store-bought or homemade

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once the oil is shimmering, add the ground beef and break it into small pieces using a wooden spoon. Cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup of finely chopped white onion, 2 teaspoons of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, combine the shredded lettuce, diced pickles, shredded cheddar cheese, and diced tomato. Toss gently to mix.
  • Divide the ground beef mixture evenly among 4 serving bowls. Top each bowl with the lettuce, pickle, cheese, and tomato mixture.
  • Sprinkle 1/4 cup of finely chopped onion on top of each bowl for garnish. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of Big Mac sauce over each bowl just before serving. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Add mozzarella or feta for a cheesy twist. Let dough rise in a warm oven (off) for faster proofing.
