- 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp parsley (fresh or dried)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Sauté minced garlic in 1 tbsp of the olive oil over low heat for 1–2 minutes. Let cool slightly.
- In a small bowl, mix remaining olive oil with oregano, basil, parsley, and red pepper flakes.
- Add sautéed garlic and its infused oil to the herb mixture and stir to combine.
- Season with salt and black pepper. Add parmesan if desired and mix well.
- Pour into a shallow serving dish and garnish with extra herbs or cheese.
- Serve with crusty bread or breadsticks and enjoy!
Notes
Customize with your favorite herbs or add chili oil for extra heat. Use fresh, high-quality olive oil for best results. Toast bread for added texture.
